MadEdge rotary mechanism Model 1
The MadEdge rotary mechanism consists of a rotary unit with two symmetrical fixed positions of the rotary frame and clamps. Despite the very powerful spring of the rotary mechanism (it is quite difficult to pull the turn signal away from the fixation point), rotation around its axis is very easy, and there is no need to pull the mechanism towards yourself, as some manufacturers suggest.
PRODUCT INFO
An adjusting nut is provided, with which you can change the compression ratio of the spring and, accordingly, the force when turning the mechanism. All rubbing parts are made of steel with surface hardening of rubbing elements, which greatly increases their service life. Parts of the mechanism have a wear-resistant polymer coating, similar to the coating of car wheels. The length of the frame of the rotary mechanism is 200 mm. The clamping jaws are made of heat-treated steel. The slant of the jaws is 8 degrees per side, which allows you to comfortably sharpen knives with a sharpening angle of up to 12 degrees per side. A spherical nut is used in the clamps, which compensates for the misalignment of the screw when securing thin knives. The minimum center distance at the jaws of the holder is 57 mm (maximum - 168 mm), the width of the jaws is 15 mm. Accordingly, the minimum blade length for comfortable sharpening in two clamps without the use of additional devices is about 80 mm. For short blades, you can use fixing either in one clamp, or use the additional option in the form of a fork for clamping jaws, which allows you to rigidly fix the position of the clamps even close to each other. For fixing the mechanism, a threaded hole M8 is made.
